Camp Henry is located in Taegu City which is the third largest city in Korea with a population of 2.5 million. Taegu is famous for their deliciously crunchy and juicy tasting apples, and textile industries that are mostly exported. Taegu city is located in Kyong-sang-buk-do Province and is approximately:

- 17 highway miles from Waegwan (Cp Carroll), Kyong-sang-buk-do province. - 107 highway miles from Pusan (Cp Hialeah), Kyong-sang-nam-do province - 70 miles north of Chinhae (US Naval Station), Kyong-sang-nam-do province. - 200 highway miles south of Seoul (8th US Army Post), the Capital of Korea.

Camp Henry consists of 51 acres, and is dominated by administrative buildings. Other uses include community facilities, troop housing, and outdoor recreation areas.

Camp Walker consists of 190 acres. The northern end is devoted to operational uses, such as an airfield. The central portion of the installation is devoted to recreational uses with a golf course utilizing a large portion of land. Family housing units are located in the west central section. Community facilities dominate the east central portion.

Camp George consists of 16 acres. Its principle uses are family housing, dependent K-12 schools, and Child Development Center.

Camp Carroll is located in the south-central portion of the Republic of Korea, immediately east of the city of Waegwan. It is approximately 140 air miles southeast of Seoul, and approximately 70 air miles northwest of Pusan. Camp Carroll is situated in Area IV of the Eighth U.S. Army (EUSA)and lies 20 air miles northeast of the city of Taegu, approximately 40 minutes driving time.

Taegu is home to Camps Walker, George, and Henry. A free shuttle links all three posts with Camp Carroll. Construction of Camp Carroll began in 1959. Camp Carroll consists of 546 acres in the Nak Tong River Valley, approximately one-quarter mile east of the Nak Tong River. The terrain is hilly, with surrounding mountains. Weather is similar to that of the Midwest United States--hot and humid in the summer, cold and windy in the winter.
